About Me
I am the executive editor at Architectural Digest, published by Condé Nast. Prior to joining AD, I was the Content Lead for the Home & Appliances group at Consumer Reports, where I developed and managed content strategy across the brand's print, digital, and video platforms. Before my tenure at CR I was the executive editor of House Beautiful, and I have held editorial positions at House & Garden, Martha Stewart Living, Travel & Leisure, and Vogue.
Over the last 10+ years I have also contributed frequently to other publications (click "Articles" tab, above, to see some stories).
In 2004 I undertook graduate studies in the history of the decorative arts and design at the Bard Graduate Center and I am currently completing work on my PhD dissertation. I earned my BA in English and history at Kenyon College (1992). In the academic world, I have taught classes on various aspects of the history of design at the Rhode Island School of Design, the School of Visual Arts, Bard College, the Bard Graduate Center, and Parsons the New School for Design. I have also worked on several museum exhibitions.
